Description
SG King of Jungle 2 (KOJ 2) English Willow Cricket Bat
The King of Jungle 2 is the middle bat in SG's new KOJ series, built on Grade 2 English willow. Grade 2 is where most serious club and league players land: close to the top selection in how it plays, without the price attached to a flawless-looking blade. SG has been making cricket equipment since 1931 out of Meerut, India.
Why Players Choose the King of Jungle 2
The KOJ series runs 1, 2 and 3 in descending willow selection. The KOJ 2 is the value pick of the three: you keep genuine high-selection English willow and give up mainly cosmetic evenness in the grain.
We stock it in short handle with a medium pick-up, which is the default for most adult batters. Medium carries weight through the line on the drive while leaving enough hand speed for square shots.

FAQ Section
Q1: What does Grade 2 mean? It is high-selection English willow one step below the top grade, usually with slightly more colour or marking in the blade.
Q2: Is a Grade 2 bat noticeably worse than Grade 1? Mostly the difference is cosmetic. Grade 1 is more consistent across the face, but a good Grade 2 plays extremely well.
Q3: How does it compare to KOJ 1 and KOJ 3? KOJ 1 is Grade 1 and KOJ 3 is Grade 3. The KOJ 2 sits between them.
Q4: Does this bat need knocking in? Yes. Knock it in properly and build up through the nets before you use it in a match.
Q5: How do I look after it? Oil the face lightly with raw linseed a couple of times a season, keep an anti-scuff sheet and toe guard on, and store it dry and away from heat.
Q6: Is this a full-size adult bat? Yes. Short handle is the standard adult size and generally suits players from around 5ft 9in upward.
Q7: Do you ship from the US? Yes. Every order ships from our Edison, New Jersey location, with free US shipping on orders over $100.
