The RP 150 is the entry point into SG's RP range, the line SG builds around Rishabh Pant. It is a genuine English willow blade for players who want a real leather-ball bat without stepping up to players-grade money. This is a full-size short handle bat in the light pick-up band, which is where a lot of club batters actually play their best cricket. Q1: Does this bat need knocking in? Yes. Like any English willow bat it needs knocking in and gradual net use before you face a hard leather ball with it in a match.
Q2: How do I look after an English willow bat? Oil the face lightly with raw linseed a couple of times a season, keep an anti-scuff sheet and toe guard on it, and store it somewhere dry and away from direct heat.
Q3: What does "Light" mean in the weight option? The blade weighs between 2lbs 7oz and 2lbs 8oz. We weigh each bat individually before listing it.
Q4: Is this a full-size adult bat? Yes. Short handle is the standard adult size and generally suits players from around 5ft 9in upward.
