Who uses the SG KLR Icon cricket bat? The SG KLR Icon is the signature bat endorsed by Indian batting star KL Rahul. It is designed to complement his elegant and classical style of play, featuring a traditional shape that rewards timing and precision stroke-making.
What grade of willow is used in the SG KLR Icon? This bat is crafted from the "Finest English Willow," typically equivalent to a premium Grade 3 selection. It generally features approximately 5-6 straight grains, offering a balance of performance and durability suitable for serious club cricketers.
What is the sweet spot position on this bat? The KLR Icon features a traditional profile with a mid-sweet spot. This setup is perfect for players who rely on technique, offering excellent value for shots played on the up as well as back-foot punches.
Is the SG KLR Icon pre-knocked? While the bat is "hard pressed" and "tested for usage against leather ball" at the factory, it is not fully game-ready. We strongly recommend a full manual knocking-in process to compress the fibers and prevent surface cracking before using it in a competitive match.
What is the weight range of the SG KLR Icon? The bat generally weighs between 1160 and 1200 grams (approx. 2lb 9oz to 2lb 11oz). It features a traditional round cane handle with special cork inserts, ensuring enhanced flexibility and shock absorption for a comfortable pickup.
