Description
The Widest Sweet Spot JOOLA Makes
Elongated paddles get the headlines. They also punish you on every ball you do not strike cleanly. The JOOLA Scorpeus Pro V is the widebody in the Pro V family, and it is the right paddle for the player who would rather win the point than admire the swing.
Why Widebody
A wider face means more usable hitting area on both sides of centre. In practice that means fewer mishits on quick hands exchanges at the kitchen, more consistency on the backhand roll, and a paddle that stays stable when you are late on a ball. You give up a little reach compared with the Perseus. You get it back in balls you actually make.
Propulsion Core
Same Pro V engine as the rest of the line. The Propulsion Core returns more energy on contact for genuine put-away pace, and the patent-pending KineticFrame throat keeps the vibration in check. Polymer core construction under a textured carbon fiber face.
14mm or 16mm
14mm for a faster, more reactive paddle with more pop from mid-court. 16mm for a softer feel with a longer dwell time, which makes drops and resets easier to control. Most Scorpeus players who came from a control paddle prefer the 16mm.
Certification
USAP certified and UPA-A certified. Legal for sanctioned tournament play in the United States.
