Description
SS Vaibhav Suryavanshi Players Edition Junior / Youth English Willow Cricket Bat
~ The Vaibhav Suryavanshi Players Edition, scaled for young batters. Grade 1 English willow.
This is the junior version of the bat carrying the name of the young Indian batter whose fearless hitting made him a household name before he could drive. It uses the same Grade 1 English willow and the same concave players profile as the senior range, shortened and lightened so a young batter can actually swing it. Sareen Sports has made bats in Meerut since 1969 and keeps a continuous international player roster.
Why Young Players Choose the Vaibhav Suryavanshi Players Edition
Grade 1 English Willow
The top commercial grade, selected for clean straight grain and minimal blemish. This is adult-grade willow in a junior blade, which is what gives real ping off the middle instead of the dull response of a starter bat.
Players-Grade Selection
Players Edition clefts are picked ahead of standard retail stock, so grain count and cleft weight are tighter than the same model in a mass-market run.
Concave Profile, Cane Handle
Concave edges move mass into the hitting zone, widening the sweet spot without adding pick-up weight — which matters more for a junior than anyone. Cane handle with a high-tack grip, supplied with a protective cover.

FAQ Section
Q1: What grade of willow is this bat made from? Grade 1 English willow — the top commercial grade, selected for straight, evenly spaced grain and minimal blemish. It is the same grade used on the senior Vaibhav Suryavanshi Players Edition.
Q2: Should I buy size 5 or size 6? Go by height, not age. Size 5 generally suits a player around 4'6" to 5'0" and size 6 around 4'11" to 5'3". The test is whether they can hold the bat at the top of the handle and swing it cleanly through a full arc. Work through the size guide linked above before ordering.
Q3: Does it come pre-knocked, or do we knock it in? It ships raw, like almost all English willow bats, and needs knocking-in before match use. Junior blades have thinner edges than adult bats, so skipping this stage is the most common cause of an early crack.
Q4: How is a Players Edition different from a standard junior bat? Players Edition clefts are selected ahead of standard retail stock and shaped closer to the profile Vaibhav Suryavanshi uses — tighter grain selection and a more performance-oriented shape than a mass-market junior bat.
Q5: Is this for a hard ball or a tennis ball? Hard leather cricket balls, in nets and matches. English willow of this grade will crack quickly under tape-ball or heavy tennis-ball use — a Kashmir willow bat is the right choice there.
Q6: Does it come with a cover? Yes, a protective bat cover is included with every bat.
Q7: How should we look after it? Store it in the cover somewhere cool and dry, never a hot car. Re-oil lightly once or twice a season, check the toe and edges after heavy use, and fit a toe guard or anti-scuff sheet for abrasive surfaces.
