Description
SG Triple Crown Classic Junior / Youth English Willow Cricket Bat
This is the junior Triple Crown Classic, from SG's longest-running premium range, in size 5 and size 6. It is a serious English willow bat in a youth size, built for the age-group player whose cricket has outgrown an entry-level blade. SG has been making cricket equipment since 1931 out of Meerut, India.
Why Players Choose the Triple Crown Classic Junior
Most junior bats are made to a price on the assumption the player will grow out of them within a season. The Triple Crown Classic is built to the standard of the range it belongs to, which means a young batter gets genuine rebound off the middle rather than a blade that just survives.
Size 5 and size 6 cover most players roughly 4ft 6in to 5ft 3in. Height is a far better guide than age, and getting it right matters more at this stage than any other spec on the bat.

FAQ Section
Q1: How do I pick between size 5 and size 6? Stand the bat upright beside the player. If the top of the handle sits around the hip, the size is right. Size 6 is the larger.
Q2: Is it worth this much for a bat they will grow out of? It depends on the cricket they play. For an age-group or academy player facing a hard ball regularly, the performance difference is real.
Q3: Should I size up so it lasts longer? No. An oversized bat is the most common cause of bottom-hand-dominant technique in young batters.
Q4: Does a junior bat need knocking in? Yes. English willow needs knocking in and gradual net use at any size before facing a hard leather ball.
Q5: How do I look after it? Oil the face lightly with raw linseed a couple of times a season, keep an anti-scuff sheet and toe guard on, and store it dry and away from heat.
Q6: What comes after size 6? Harrow, then full adult short handle. We stock the Triple Crown Classic in Harrow as well.
Q7: Do you ship from the US? Yes. Every order ships from our Edison, New Jersey location, with free US shipping on orders over $100.
