The SS Gladiator suits the batter who wants a full-size adult bat nobody will confuse with theirs in the kit heap. Beyond the colour it is a serious club blade: hand-selected Grade 1 Kashmir willow, air-dried, shaped with the concave edge profile SS uses across its range. A light and a medium band cover most hands.
Sareen Sports Industries has made cricket bats in Meerut, India since 1969. The Gladiator carries the usual workshop marks: the embossed SS decal, the Sunridges sticker on the back, and the willow type printed on the front sticker. The blade photographed is inked by hand at 1152 g.
