Description
Raydn ProLite Extra Small Junior Cricket Batting Pads
~ Real protection for the youngest batters.
The Raydn ProLite Extra Small Junior batting pads are built for kids just starting out in cricket, the smallest size in the ProLite range, below Small Junior. They give beginner batters proper leg protection without the weight and bulk that make full-size junior pads hard to run in, so young players can focus on their footwork and enjoy the game.
Raydn is TopCricketStore's own brand. The name comes from Raijin (also spelled Raiden), the god of thunder and lightning in Japanese mythology. Every ProLite pad is designed and tested by cricketers who coach and play in the US.
Why Players Choose the ProLite
High-Density Sponge with Cane Bolsters
Vertical cane bolsters reinforce the high-density sponge to protect the shin and knee from hard tennis balls and junior leather balls.
Lightweight for Small Legs
The Extra Small Junior cut keeps the pad short and light, so little batters can run between the wickets naturally instead of fighting their gear.
Premium PU Outer and PVC Instep
The PU face wipes clean after muddy matches, and the PVC instep with wear-resistant piping holds up to season after season of practice.
Easy for Kids to Put On
Durable straps are marked Right and Left, so young players (and parents) can strap them on correctly in seconds. The ambidextrous design suits both left- and right-handed batters.

FAQ Section
Q1: What age are Extra Small Junior batting pads for? Extra Small Junior pads generally fit kids aged about 5-7. The best guide is leg length: the pad should sit from the top of the foot to just above the knee, with the knee roll centred on the knee.
Q2: How is Extra Small Junior different from Small Junior? Extra Small Junior is the smallest size in the Raydn ProLite range, one step below Small Junior. It is shorter and lighter, for the youngest batters whose Small Junior pads would reach too high above the knee.
Q3: Can left-handed batters use these pads? Yes. The ProLite is ambidextrous, so it works for both left- and right-handed batters. The straps are marked Right and Left to make fitting simple.
Q4: Are these pads suitable for leather ball cricket? They are built for junior training and matches with tennis balls, hard tennis balls and junior-weight leather balls. The cane bolsters and high-density sponge give solid protection for young players at that level.
Q5: How do I choose between Extra Small Junior, Small Junior, Junior and Youth? Go by leg length rather than age alone. If your child is between sizes, many parents choose the smaller size for comfort and mobility; if they are growing quickly, sizing up gives an extra season of use. Call us at 732-250-3598 for sizing help.
Q6: How do I clean Raydn ProLite pads? Wipe the PU outer with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let the pads air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash.
Q7: Who makes Raydn cricket gear? Raydn is TopCricketStore's in-house brand, designed for players in the US and shipped from our warehouse in Edison, NJ.
