Frequently Asked Questions about Yonex Voltric Badminton Rackets

Yes, specifically for players who want Lightweight Power. While the pro-level Voltric rackets have been succeeded by the Astrox series, the Voltric Lite Series (like the 35i and 47i) remains incredibly popular. They offer the unique combination of a Head-Heavy balance (for smash power) with an ultra-light 5U weight (approx. 78g), making them perfect for players who want to hit hard but don't have the wrist strength for a heavy pro racket.

This is the technology that made Voltric famous. Usually, a racket is either fast (light head) or powerful (heavy head). The Tri-Voltage System puts weight at the top of the frame and the T-Joint area. This gives you the smash power of a heavy racket, but the thin frame sides reduce air resistance, keeping the swing speed fast. It’s the "best of both worlds" tech that defines the Voltric Collection.

These models are very similar in specs (all are 5U weight and head-heavy), but they differ slightly in flex and feel:

  • Voltric Lite 35i: The most accessible entry-level option. Great for pure beginners.
  • Voltric Lite 40i: A slightly more balanced feel, often featuring a distinct colorway (Blue/Orange) for players who want a bit more style on the court.
  • Voltric Lite 47i: The top of this specific range. It often features slightly better vibration dampening and a sleek matte finish, making it a favorite for intermediate club players.

Choose Voltric Lite if you play a traditional power game (big clears and smashes) and want a solid, consistent feel. The Tri-Voltage system feels very stable.

Choose Astrox Lite if you play a faster, modern attacking game. The Astrox uses the "Rotational Generator System" which recovers slightly faster between shots for rapid-fire doubles play.

Yes, all the Voltric Lite models we stock (35i, 40i, 47i) come pre-strung from the factory with Yonex strings. They are ready to use straight out of the box, making them an excellent, hassle-free gift or upgrade for junior players transitioning to a full-size racket.
