Frequently Asked Questions about L-Ning Halbertec Rackets
The Halbertec Series is Li-Ning's "Balanced" line. It sits right in the middle between the head-heavy Axforce (Power) and the light Windstorm (Speed). It is designed for Control and Counter-Attack. If you are a player who likes to control the pace of the rally with precise drops and net play, but needs enough weight to smash when the opportunity arises, this is your series. It is directly comparable to the Yonex Arcsaber line.
Indonesian doubles star Daniel Marthin uses the Halbertec 9000. This is the flagship model of the series. It features a stiff shaft and the "HDF Shock Absorption System" to minimize vibration, giving elite players incredible feedback and precision on their shots.
The number indicates the performance tier:
- Halbertec 9000: The Pro version. Stiff, precise, and demanding. Best for advanced players.
- Halbertec 6000 / 7000: The High-Performance tier. These offer near-pro specs but are often slightly more forgiving in flex, making them perfect for advanced club players who want performance without the extreme stiffness of the 9000.
- Halbertec 3000 / 4000: The Intermediate tier. These use standard modulus graphite which is more flexible and durable, helping developing players generate power easily.
We stock both versions of the Halbertec 3000 because they serve different needs:
- Choose 4U (approx. 83g): If you play with plastic shuttles or need more stability for smashes from the back of the court.
- Choose 5U (approx. 79g): If you play mostly doubles and want faster hands for defense and net interceptions.
