The Kahuna features a traditional mid-profile swell with slight concaving, making it incredibly balanced for an all-around game. The Ghost features a fuller profile with minimal concaving, resulting in a slightly heavier pickup but massive power and a larger sweet spot.
While Kookaburra bats come factory-pressed and lightly prepared, they are not match-ready out of the box. We highly recommend oiling and fully knocking in your bat (especially the edges and toe) with a mallet before facing hard leather balls to prevent cracking.
If you play at a highly competitive level and want the best ping and 8+ straight grains, choose a Grade 1 or Players Edition. If you are a club cricketer looking for a balance of high performance and budget, Grade 2 is ideal. For nets and weekend matches, a Grade 3 provides excellent durability and value.
