Bat weight and pickup are different things. Weight is what the scale says. Pickup is how heavy the bat feels when you hold it at the handle — affected by balance point and profile. A 2lb 10oz bat with a low middle feels lighter than a 2lb 8oz bat with a high middle. Shop bats.
